EthiFi is a low-cost WiFi security research platform built on the ESP8266 β a tiny $3 microcontroller with built-in WiFi. It runs a web server you control from any browser, making WiFi pentesting concepts accessible to everyone.
| π§ Feature | π What it does |
|---|---|
| π‘ Deauth Attack | Sends deauthentication frames to disconnect WiFi clients |
| π Network Scanner | Lists nearby access points and their connected clients |
| π Beacon Spam | Floods the area with dozens of fake SSIDs |
| π΅οΈ Probe Monitor | Logs probe requests broadcast by nearby devices |
| π» Web UI | Full control from a browser β no app, no drivers needed for control |
| πΈ Affordable | Total hardware cost as low as ~$3 |
1. Flash EthiFi to your ESP8266 β see Installation β NodeMCU Flasher or Installation β Arduino IDE
2. Power on your board and connect to the WiFi it creates:
SSID: EthiFi
Password: deauther
3. Open your browser and go to:
http://192.168.4.1
4. You're in! π Use the Web UI to scan, select, and test.
