I traced this to the action dropdown in components/item-info.js. The main vote control already renders a pin for the Saloon post, but the ... menu still exposes the downzap/upvote toggle.

I have a minimal patch ready that suppresses that toggle only when the item is a pinned root post authored by USER_ID.saloon. It deliberately leaves downzaps available for ordinary pinned territory posts (which may later be unpinned) and for comments.

Before I open the PR: is that the intended scope for #3245, and is this issue eligible for the current dev award program? I’ll disclose AI assistance in the PR as requested by the project template.
