Temporary draft PR used only to run the pull-request QA workflow against the v1.0.0 release-candidate source. The only branch-only change is an inert CI-probe Markdown file. Do not merge. After QA is inspected, this PR will be closed and the release-candidate branch reset to the exact main candidate commit.
