Welcome to the Second Brain wiki. Second Brain is a self-hosted memory system on Cloudflare Workers for MCP-compatible AI tools. It gives one person a private brain, or a team private personal layers plus a shared company layer.
The easiest way to get started is the desktop app — download it for Mac or Windows and it sets everything up for you in about two minutes, no terminal required. See the Setup Guide for that and the two do-it-yourself methods.
- Setup Guide — desktop app, one-click Cloudflare deploy, and manual setup
- Team Setup — share a brain with colleagues: two layers, roles, invites
- Projects — group memories by what they're about: creation, aliases, digests, and capsules
- Connect to AI Clients — ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, and other MCP clients
- Cursor Instructions — MCP plus Cursor Rules for recall and remember
- Capture from Anywhere — bookmarklet, iOS Shortcuts, share sheet, email and calendar capture
- Reminders and Push: time-anchored memories, due dates, and proactive push reminders
- Notion Integration — mirror shared Notion pages into memory
- Obsidian Plugin — install, configure, sync modes
- API Reference: REST endpoints, runtime config, team administration, and MCP tools
- How It Works: semantic search, keyword recall, reranking, chunking, duplicate detection
- Web UI — UI dashboard to manage your memories
- How to Upgrade — upgrade instructions for one-click and manual deployments
- Local Development: run the Worker locally, share it for testing, and run the recall evaluation
