Add option to subscribe without commenting?

What would it look like given our single-click functionality? Could we do it with an ajax call? Thoughts @cyberhobo ?

You're talking about the comment form right? What do you mean by single-click functionality, can you spell it out a bit more?

Sorry. Yea, so on the comment form front end, could we add a link or button to let the user subscribe to comments without leaving one? I haven't thought through the UX of it yet... was just wondering what would be possible.

We still need the email address, optionally the name, and some kind of bot deterrence. The server side would probably be similar to the old widget, but that's gone. Might as well let the UX drive it.
