We could add the onion background to the homepage header (blurred transparent top section). It looks so good on other pages!
Version 1.0 of the website had the map behind the blurred part of the header. See the twitter profile banner https://x.com/wicitapp as an example. Unfortunately, my AI attempt generated a blur that is neither the onion nor the map. We have three options.
- Make the map appear behind the header.
- Add the onion background image behind the header.
- Keep the custom blur.
One other benefit from adding the onion background to the homepage is that it would pre-fetch it for other pages. I noticed a slight delay (~100ms) when switching pages for the first time that caused the background to flash white before the image was loaded.
