Large text on narrow screens could squeeze picker counters into one character per line, expanding the footer over the app list. Dashboard status tiles and module headings also truncated meaningful text. Measure the current text and available space, keeping the existing layout where it fits and adapting only when necessary.

  • Share the adaptive action bar between the target picker and hidden-app settings, including the excluded-app summary.
  • Move counters above the actions when needed and stack buttons only when both labels cannot fit horizontally.
  • Keep dashboard metrics in a consistent two-column or single-column grid and wrap complete labels and values.
  • Move module versions below their names when the heading does not fit.
  • Add an opt-in, root-free layout fixture using the production components and document its test matrix; ordinary APKs do not include its Activity.

Testing

  • Android 15 emulator, Russian UI: 320/360/412 dp with 100/130/150/200% font scaling (36 captures), short and long counters, metrics, and module headings.
  • The picker content at 360 dp / 100% matched the pre-change screenshot pixel-for-pixel outside the system bars.
  • Backend/root integration was not part of this layout test.
