Why

Fuzzy queries can match characters spread across several path components. Results currently provide no indication of which characters matched, and a long path can hide the matching region entirely.

What

  • Highlight matched graphemes in both current and other result rows, keeping match highlights distinct from the current-row style.
  • Scroll long results toward the matching region and mark clipped ends with ellipses, preserving whole Unicode graphemes and the original path returned on selection.
  • Cover highlighting, exact-substring queries, scrolling, resizing, and path selection through real PTY end-to-end tests; document the search behavior and prefer public-behavior integration and end-to-end tests in agent guidance.
