The change removes a NEW sidebar badge from one Metrics page. The plan checks errors and loads on that page. An issue escalates when errors appear or the page stops loading. Monitoring in Services: Mention PlanWhat changedThe Rust Metrics sidebar item no longer shows a NEW badge. The page body stays the same. sentry-docs must deploy before this change is live. RiskA bad frontmatter parse can break this page or the Rust platform sidebar. The blast radius is one page and its nav item. Other sidebar NEW badges do not change. Intended effectThis change has no queryable effect. The NEW badge is a visual sidebar mark. Telemetry does not record badge state. Absent would be the badge still visible on the Rust Metrics nav item. The executor cannot confirm that from metrics. Mark intended_effect unknown unless a person sees the badge is gone. Regression watchA bad page parse can drop this URL or throw a client error. Watch errors first. Watch page loads as a reachability signal. This page has very low traffic.
If the error count rises, inspect sidebar render on Rust platform pages. Not observableTelemetry does not record the NEW badge on the sidebar. Pageload traces for this URL returned 0 spans. The trace sample rate is 30 percent and traffic is low. |
