Exercise the core suite through native Agent Plugins loading #3

Closed

Description

@jonathanhefner

Exercise the existing core plugin through a real client's native Agent Plugins loading path, starting from the plugin directory and its portable plugin.json and mcp.json files.

The initial Codex prototype explicitly supplied translated native MCP configuration. It verified agent-to-tool observation collection and deterministic reporting, but did not exercise portable manifest loading, portable MCP configuration interpretation, or native discovery of the bundled skills.

This task validates the test kit through its intended installation route; it does not inherently require a new conformance case or a new client adapter. Use a client that supports the relevant portable format. If no suitable implementation is available, record the prerequisite rather than treating an adapted configuration as native loading.

Record the client/version, plugin revision, installation route, collected observations, and generated report. Distinguish client behavior from any fixture or guide defect discovered during the run. Skill-only or MCP-only support should still produce useful partial results, with unavailable evidence marked not_verified.
