Your React App Is Lying To You: How Node.js Internals Break Frontend UX聽#26

Description

@brahimgb

Hello team, Here鈥檚 the talk I would like to propose 馃檹

Abstract

The talk aims to show how backend behavior in Node.js can directly impact the performance and user experience of React applications. Many React developers assume that slow or inconsistent UIs are caused by React itself, while the root cause may lie on the server side.

The talk covers key concepts: the event loop, blocking vs non-blocking operations, asynchronous handling via libuv, and how backend latency affects frontend rendering.

i will add a live demo will illustrate unexpected UI behavior caused by a blocking Node.js endpoint, followed by the solution to restore a smooth and predictable application.

Format

The topic is deep, so the idea is to stay accessible. I鈥檓 aiming for a 10 to 15 minute talk, with a visual live demo to keep the audience engaged.

About Me

I鈥檓 a Full-Stack developer with a focus on both frontend and backend, particularly interested in performance optimization and understanding at systems level. I have worked for several well-known companies, including as a Software and Data Engineer at Pelico, and as a Full-Stack Engineer at Dockflow.
