What changed

Cuts 0.13.0, the first stable release of the public repo. pnpm release 0.13.0 set the version to 0.13.0 in package.json, Cargo.toml, Cargo.lock and the website, and added this entry to CHANGELOG.md:

0.13.0 — 2026-10-20

Kriyon is now open source, and it can update itself.

Added

  • Updates inside the app. Kriyon tells you when a new version is out and
installs it when you say so. Your sessions keep running.
  • Install with Homebrew: brew install leafycode/tap/kriyon.
  • Easier to read conversations. Your messages and Claude's replies now
look different, so you can tell them apart at a glance.

Changed

  • Clearer activity. You can see at a glance what Claude changed on your
computer, such as installed or deleted files.
  • New font and colors for text and code.

Fixed

  • The Structured view now matches the terminal more closely.
  • Pasted text and long messages show and send correctly.
  • The message box fits small windows.
  • Closing a session cleans up its leftover files.

Security

  • Tighter limits on what the app window can load.

Why

Seven betas (0.13.0-beta.1 to beta.7) have been tested, including self-update from the real feed and the restart that keeps sessions running. The entry covers the work since 0.12.0 in the private history as well as #8 to #22, in short, plain words.

How I tested it

  • pnpm release ran every check before making the branch, and the commit hooks passed.
  • The entry was reviewed and approved by the maintainer.

Checklist

  • The PR targets dev.
  • I wrote or updated tests, and pnpm check passes.
  • I read and tested every line, and I can explain it in review.
  • AI tools wrote most of this change. (Tick if true. See Using AI tools.)

The 0.13.0 entry lists `brew install leafycode/tap/kriyon`, and publishing
0.13.0 writes the tap's first cask, so the README no longer says the tap is
coming soon.

Review and fix — pass 1

Fixed 1 issue in 1 pass. All checks green.

  • The README listed Homebrew as coming soon while the 0.13.0 entry lists it as available. Publishing 0.13.0 writes the tap's first cask, so the README now lists it plainly.

Fixed this pass

  • CHANGELOG.md:13 — Make the Homebrew claim match the README's 'coming soon'

Checked by 2 finders (public text, correctness, contract, step 5 re-check of the fixes) · architecture review · scorer: 1 scored, 1 kept.

Ready to merge, as far as this review can see. Nothing is open from this pass or any pass before it.
