Was discovered a testpoint to a native Player 1 GC port. I want to play my GC games with native port enabled (like on real Wii), but is Nintendont disable this option when running on Wii U's vWii mode.
If you have the skill to do that then you should have the skill to change afw lines of codes on nintendont...
Also from what i readed only player one works so what would be the point of playing native over emulated control's?
The only advantage native has over emulated is to use stuff like gba link cable and such but you would need at least 2 player ports working to even use that since you need a gc controller to control stuff and thenuse port 2 for the gba link cable to switch pokemons and such.
That would be doable if the controller emulation is put in between native input and software.
One could then switch port 1 into passthrough mode so that it pipes the physical input straight into the game instead of emulating its own controller on port 1 (or one of your choosing) that way you’d have the best of both worlds
And then there is the fact that the WiiU has an intact (and accessible) EXI bus too, so hooking up Memory Cards and Serial 1/2 is also doable
In particular, the reason why I submitted the PR is because I have a CAT-DEV unit. In July, I managed to get Wii Mode working properly (requires installing all of the vWii titles and also setting.txt). The CAT-DEV has a Classic Controller port on the front for a debug controller, and this controller is supported by System Config Tool and other debug tools. It turns out that it's actually handled as if it's GameCube Port 1, so it can be used for Nintendont. (This is actually how we found TP69; it was traced to the Classic Controller connector on the CAT-DEV.)
