New release?

Hi! I'm considering writing a nixpkgs package for your tool, but it seems to not have had a release tag since about 2022 so I think I might have to use a git version. It would be helpful if there were a newer release.

This is just informational, it's not blocking anything, but I just wanted to let you know before doing something potentially annoying as a packager :)

I haven't been using this tool for a very long time. I can't recommend others using it at this point because there are bugs in the CLI argument parsing that make searches overbroad almost always. In addition—relevant for adding to nixpkgs—it's licensed under the hippocratic license. I believe that would make your life as a packager a little more annoying.

Overall, I'd ask that you not add this to nixpkgs. I don't have time to fix bugs or respond to requests for this tool right now, so I'd prefer it not be discoverable. If you like the functionality, it's not the worst tool to build as a new project.

That's totally understandable and I mostly expect random projects like this to be "done" at some point anyhow where they just exist in the state they're in. I don't think it being in nixpkgs will add too much bother for you as there's a whole bunch of software in nixpkgs that few people use so the discoverability factor isn't very high, but if you'd like, I can split out the other changes from my PR, submit those separately, then close the main PR and vendor the packaging into my own dotfiles.

I actually found out about your tool through https://www.scannedinavian.com/tools-built-on-tree-sitters-concrete-syntax-trees.html.

Would you be able to add a comment at the top of the README clarifying the maintenance state?

I can do that, sure.

This issue has made me realize that it would be healthier to set better expectations by archiving this repo once that message is merged. The project state has been bugging me at the back of my mind for a couple of years now, and I appreciate you giving me the push I needed to actually make a decision here (even though I'm sure this isn't the outcome you expected or wanted.)

Hope you have a nice day, and to catch you in a future setting.
