- My language I'm most proficient in is Rust. Great ecosystem of packages, near-perfect tooling, and the performance of C without having to ever open Valgrind.
- The other language I use is F# which I use professionally and find nice enough, plus it has some fun party tricks. Quicker to write than Rust but more black box-y.
- I used to write a lot of C and C++, up until about C++17, but now I use Rust unless I have to
- I use Arch Linux on my personal machines, and Debian LXCs and VMs on my homelab (3 mini PCs running Proxmox, UniFi networking).
- On top of the LXCs I also have a handful of docker containers running on one of the servers, a few of which are custom (all Debian/Rust).
