Pagination on Sharepoint

Is there a way to paginate the results when fetching folders from Sharepoint? Our company drive has many folders and I get this error when trying to view the root directory.

The attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold.

I coudlnt see a way to paginate the results ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
