Bug Report: Persistent Segmentation Faults in PHP-FPM Container Across Multiple

Describe the Bug

Troubleshooting Steps Taken

1. Environment Reproduction:

• Reproduced the issue both in WSL2 with Docker Desktop and in a clean Ubuntu installation inside VirtualBox using Docker CE.

• Both environments show the same segmentation fault behavior when using the php-fpm container regardless of version.

• Clean setup of WSL2 uninstall and install

2. Hardware Validation:

• Conducted SSD and RAM integrity tests (no issues found).
• Verified CPU performance and virtualization flags — all functioning normally.
• PHP Isolation Tests:
• Disabled and re-enabled PHP extensions (curl, mbstring, phar, openssl, etc.) one by one.
• Removed non-essential extensions to test minimal configurations.
• No change — segmentation fault persists.
• Resource & Container Checks:
• Verified Docker memory and CPU limits — sufficient resources allocated.
• Rebuilt all containers and pruned Docker system (docker system prune -a --volumes).
• Verified container logs — no meaningful output prior to crash.
• Checked core dumps; limited diagnostic info available.

3. Cross-Version & Clean Setup Testing:

• Tried multiple Warden projects with different PHP versions (8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4).
• Installed a completely clean project from scratch — same result.
• Verified that segmentation faults occur on calls inside the container.

4. Eliminated Host-Level Causes:

• The issue replicates both inside WSL2 and on a native Linux (VirtualBox) environment, suggesting it’s not specific to WSL but it is specific to virtualization on Windows 11. This issue was non existant 2 months ago nothing changed except Windows upgrades. I have a feeling that something somewhere looses connection or command rams the container and container rams the WSL. Something is just not playing well together.

To Reproduce

Setup a magento 2 clean project. And run composer install inside of the docker container. I get periodically segmentation faults.

Expected Behavior

No segmentation faults.

Additional context

This issue was not existing before like 2 months ago. Im slowly loosing my mind on what the issue is. I can work but i have to run commands inside of container multiple times.
