Hello. Please answer this question regarding the edrumulus project. I don't understand how hi-het control works. What principle does it use, and what does it ultimately achieve: simulating the opening/closing of hi-hets? Is it possible to implement this? Has anyone tried implementing tcrt5000 in the edrumulus project for this purpose?

Not that I am aware of. But in #2 (reply in thread), ignotus666 shows his DIY setup with a A1302 hall effect sensor. This seems to work very well.

Most e-drum hihats use potentiometers to measure the open/close height. This is how it's implemented IIRC.
