It means that your OS failed to detect the edrumulus USB hardware. Could be that your USB cable is bad, flashing didn't work correctly or your OS has some issue (I also had this a few times and rebooting usually fixed it for me). |

Interesting observation. So it seems my comment above "No, this is not related. The connection must be possible even without the front end." was not correct. Good to know. |
I keep on checking why this really happen. It turns out that even without a front end, the edrumulus gui will still work. I think the main reason it hangs is the pin assignment really but i will keep on testing it so i can find the real culprit why I'm experiencing this. By the way. Since i didn't tested the edrumulus with the real edrum pads, is this really comparable to the triggering response of a roland module? |

I never owned a Roland module. So I cannot say. Anyway I wouldn't bother buying one because I doubt it'll be as flexible as edrumulus. Having the power to adapt to any piece of hardware I'm interested in is just awesome. :-) |

Update: The GUI is now working as intended with one issue I've encountered. When trigger_settings.txt is inside the settings folder, the GUI is stuck at connecting to edrumulus. But when i removed the txt file, the GUI works. What steps should i take to make this work? |

@corrados do i need a raspberry pi in order for the hihat ctrl to work? Or the code is ready for the ordinary gpio pins of the esp32 to hook the hihat ctrl |

No, you do not need a raspberry pi. You can use a normal PC. |

I uploaded the code and followed everything but when i open the gui, I'm stucked ar connecting to edrumulus. What to do?
