True integration in native Desktop OS File Managers
#38
Working a bit with the Windows Sync-in Desktop app, I get the feeling that it doesn't really offer much more functionality than accessing my Sync-in account via the webbrowser. Okay, that's not completely correct. The Desktop app allows easy switching between different accounts and servers, but apart from that, it looks like one could as well install the website as a PWA. Please correct me if I fail to acknowledge specific Desktop app features.
Are there any plans for integrating Sync-in within the native File Managers, e.g. Windows Explorer, macOS Finer, Linux... Oh dear which on shall I mention here?
The idea would be:
user opens the native OS File Manager
they can intuitively navigate their Sync-in domain, just like any other file location
they can double click files, which will be opened by the associated Desktop app installed natively
or - if no installed app is available - the Sync-in online handler
or - if not available as well - offer to download the file
