I can see from the logs that the generation completed successfully (step generate.ok, runtime ~286s, 1 artifact) and a snapshot was created (snapshot.created), but then the renderer encountered the error Error invoking remote method 'snapshots:v1:workspace:open': reply was never sent.

This error typically means the main process handler for the snapshots:v1:workspace:open IPC channel either threw an unhandled exception before replying, or the async operation it was waiting on never resolved. The existing diagnostics bundle you saved will be very helpful — please attach it to this issue if you haven't already.

A few things that would help narrow this down:

1. Your kernel version (7.0.3-070003-generic) is quite unusual — could you share the output of uname -a and your Linux distribution name/version (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04, Fedora 39)?
2. Is this issue consistently reproducible? If you open a new workspace and try again, does the same error occur?
3. The diagnostic bundle saved locally — could you upload the file open-codesign-diagnostics-2026-07-24T15-57-47.zip here? It contains renderer-side error details that aren't visible in the main process logs.

Relevant code: (based on the v0.2 codebase)

• The snapshot IPC handlers live in apps/desktop/src/main/snapshots/ — the workspace:open handler likely opens a workspace file or directory. The reply was never sent error points to a missing return or unhandled rejection in that handler.
